Grenadine silk is characterised by an open, three-dimensional structure that gives the fabric remarkable visual depth and an immediately recognisable texture.

The weave particularly enhances the midnight blue ground. Its subtle relief interacts with the light, creating slight tonal variations that make the dark blue appear deeper or brighter depending on the angle.

Three shades in balance

Dark blue forms the dominant base, while ivory and beige define the regimental pattern. The different widths of the diagonal stripes create movement while maintaining a carefully balanced relationship between the three shades.

Structure and finishing

The three-fold construction is supported by an internal lining that gives the tie body and helps form a balanced knot. Tipped ends complete the construction with a clean, traditional finish.

Preserving the weave over time

After each wear, gently undo the knot completely rather than pulling the tie directly through it. This helps minimise unnecessary stress on the distinctive open structure of grenadine silk.

Allow the fabric to rest

Store the tie completely untied, preferably laid flat or loosely rolled. Allowing the fabric to rest between wears helps the silk fibres naturally recover their original shape.

Protect the textured surface

Avoid contact with water, perfume, oily substances and abrasive surfaces that could damage or catch the open weave. Should cleaning be required, entrust the tie to a professional experienced in caring for fine silk accessories.
