Our 3-fold madder silk tie is made entirely by hand in Italy by our expert craftsmen. The tie is constructed with a balanced interlining that ensures a perfect, non-bulky knot. The entire construction process is done by hand which requires absolute perfection and experience in the production process, ensuring the highest quality together with taste, refinement and attention to detail.

Fabric

The Madder silk used for our ties is produced in one of the last factories in Macclesfield, England, once home to numerous factories producing the inimitable screen-printed silk, today there are only two left.

This incomparable fabric takes its name from an ancient dyeing process that involves the use of the Rubia Tinctorum plant from which the natural dyes that give the silk a unique and rich color are extracted. The natural dyeing process creates a depth and complexity of color that cannot be replicated by synthetic colors.

The process of creating Madder silk is a unique and specialized craft that requires a lot of experience to perform correctly.
