La seta Ancient Madder utilizzata per le nostre cravatte viene prodotta in uno degli ultimi stabilimenti a Macclesfield, in Inghilterra, un tempo sede di numerose manifatture che producevano l’inimitabile seta serigrafata, oggi ne sono rimaste solo due.

Questo tessuto incomparabile prende il nome da un antico processo di tintura che prevede l’utilizzo della pianta Rubia Tinctorum dalla quale si estraggono appunto i coloranti naturali che conferiscono alla seta un colore unico e ricco. Il processo di tintura naturale crea una profondità e una complessità di colore che non possono essere replicate dai colori sintetici.

Il processo di creazione della seta Accient Madder è un mestiere unico e specializzato che richiede molta esperienza per essere eseguito correttamente.
